Cofty,
Don’t you believe in free will?
jehovah's witnesses believe that only 144,000 go to heaven, where as the bible teaches us that all who come to jesus can!
nothing in the bible for 144,000.. the bible teaches that salvation is not through religion, works, self righteousness or human effort.
but salvation is only through the person of the lord jesus christ.. feel free to watch below.

Salvation from the eternal torture your god plans
Cofty,
Your statement makes a person wonder why anyone would choose eternal separation from their creator and his creation. Shouldn't God give people what they really want?
in reading about the 54 year old man being shot, i was wondering if any of you were ever shot at, or threatened with a gun.. i was in a car group where a woman came out waving around, telling us to get off her land.
in another situation a man told the car group to turn and leave or he was calling the cops.
.
When I was a gungho pioneer, I went up to a house and a man in his 20's got out of a truck on the property and told me that no one was at home.... in an angry tone.
There were two other garage apartments on the property, so I just said ok thanks, and walked toward the other two residences on the property. He got irate and started screaming, "They are not at home either!".
Something told me to get the hell out of there. So I did. I can still see the fire in his eyes. He was ready to throw down for sure. Musta been 35 years ago.
Poor fellow. Probably lost his momma to the cult like I did several years later.
cooperate with christ’s representatives.
shortly before his death, jesus mentioned another way in which we can follow his leadership.
he said: “he that receives anyone i send receives me also.” (john 13:20) in fact, jesus spoke of his anointed representatives as his “brothers.” (matt.
The plainest reading would refer to other Jews, Jesus' kinsmen.... as his brothers. Specifically, the 144K male Jewish virgins that will appear during the Great Tribulation. More generally, as FF Ghost pointed out:
”For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, that one is my brother and sister and mother.”
And what is the Father's will?
In desperation a jailer asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” Paul and Silas said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” And that night, as Paul and Silas shared “the word of the Lord,” salvation came to that jailer’s household.
Whoever gives up their love affair with trusting in religion, good works, government, men in general, and puts trust in Jesus will be saved.
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool - Pr. 28: 26
Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. - Ps. 146 3
The reason the WT has been so successful is because a lot of people really just want someone they can see to tell them what to do. It really is about that simple.
mark jones, a witness for over 30 years describes what jws call bible studies offered to the public.. .
"they (jehovah's witnesses) offer you a free home “bible” study - which turns out to be a study of a watchtower publication with the bible brought out as an afterthought to try and prop up whatever current idea the governing body are claiming is “the truth” this week.. i think it’s underhanded.. when my parents became jehovah’s witnesses and they offered people a free home “bible” study, this is what they brought to study with them:.
what, did you think they were going to study the bible with you?.
It’s impossible to be baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness by actually studying the bible and the bible alone.
That pretty much tells anyone all they really need to know doesn't it?
why do you think many jws are hostile and rude?
or is that just my imagination?.
mark jones writes: the vast majority of jehovah’s witnesses are nice people.
That's an easy question. It is because they like to play the victim. They are the "center of Satan's attack" in their mind. In reality they are just misguided fools.
goliath was a big dude, 6 cubits and a span, or about 9 feet 9 inches.
the septuagint version of the bible and the dead sea scrolls, on the other hand, both state his height as 4 cubits and a span, or 6 feet 9 inches.. his armour weighed a bit over 40 kg, about the same weight as a modern soldier would carry.
his spear sounds impressively heavy at 600 shekels, however , this is only about 6 kg (13 lbs), easily carried by a man of average strength, let alone someone with training.. the difference lies in whether we should believe the masoretic version of the bible, or the septuagint.. the masoretic text was written about 1000 years later than the septuagint and it is what the new world translation and a lot of protestant bibles are based on.. although the septuagint was accepted by 1st century jews, it is believed that medieval jews were not happy with the septuagint, as it lent weight to the argument that pointed to jesus as the messiah and they wanted to distinguish the jewish tradition from christianity.. jesus and other new testament writers (whoever they were) quoted the septuagint.. in an effort to support his own world view and to distance himself from the catholic church, martin luther chose the masoretic text over the septuagint on which to base his translation, which is ironic as the masoretic text was written, partly to separate itself from christianity.. when someone says they 'believe the bible', or, they 'live their life on what the bible says'- can that person really explain how they can trust the history and process of whatever bible they believe in came to be?.
i sometimes catch a video of a lady calling the kh and asking questions.
this morning she was questioning something that was said in the annual meeting part 2 and i looked it up for myself.
( feb 23 ) at timeline 1:37 the claim is in the new world jesus and the 144000 will raise the dead and just shortly after that the claim is jesus and the 144,000 will read hearts.
This aint the org of the 80's and 90's anymore. Who needs Jesus?.... we got the 144K, a new kind of superhero.
i just read about a disfellowshipped person who was looking for other disfellowshipped persons to socialize with.
what does the org have to say about this?.
anybody else notice this?
the have a syndicate (governing body) regional bosses (district overseers), captians (circuit overseers), and elders are their "made men" that enforce policy at street level.
if you run your mouth too much, they wipe out your whole family (disfellowshipping).
